MFAA Sept 2007

Capt. Mike,

I hope you and and your family had a happy holiday season and your new year is off to a good start. Since our trip last September 2007, time has slipped on by at a rapid pace. I intended to send this letter in October and here it is January already.

First accept my apologies for the tardiness of my thank you. All of our members are still talking about the great time we had on our trip. For years at our fall conference we have tried to break the monotony of one speaker after the other, back to the the hospitality suite, out to dinner and over again. You helped us accomplish that goal. You have a very comfortable boat, calming demeanor and the first mate was very accommodating.

We have posted the picture of our catch on our website for all members to see and the responses have been many. We jokingly spoke about adding a second boat next year to accommodate more members and at this point it is more of a reality than a joke. We will be in touch in the summer to let you know our intentions as soon as we have a good idea on a number of fishermen.

Please accept these MFAA baseball caps as a token of our appreciation for a great day. The fish have all been eaten but the memory goes on for a long time.

Thank you, Paul Anastasi, Vice President  www.massfacilities.org

June 2007, Eric Ganguly;

Capt Mike, Couldn't have asked for a better day of fishing that the one we had on June 8th. Great boat, great fishing and great company.  Our arms were cooked by the end of the day! Can't wait until the next trip. The Gangulys (and Ben)

Dear Capt. Mike- Once again- FANTASTIC FISHING trip. I think this is our 12th year fishing and will continue to come back. This was our first trip without a mate - You handled all duties and made it look easy. Thanks again - It is a pleasure to fish on the "Eastwind".

Wow! What an incredible trip. Capt Doak! You and first mate Zach made every bit of it fun. My friend, John Donovan, and I had an awesome time. We cant wait to come back for more stripers, sea bass, and bluefish.  Thanks for an incredible fishing experience.  I will see you soon!  Sincerely, Braden Tierney

We grilled up the Tuna and Bass, and it was excellent! Thanks again for a great time!

We were out with you yesterday morning.  Here’s a link to the photos I used on my site.  Click on the link and then use the forward arrow to ‘arrow through’ 7 shots ending with Les The Mighty Hunter and his impressed wife.  It was fun!  Also I gave a link-out to your site which might drive a hit or two.

Hello Capt. Mike,

Here are a few pictures from our trip I said I would mail you. (From July 3, 2006., the pictures did not date themselves). We will look to see if any of them are good enough for your website. We sure had a great time. We also ate grilled and smoked bluefish all week long, I never did get tired of it. Jake said to say hi. If we get back that way next year we are definitely going to look you up. Thanks again for the great time.

Just wanted to say that everyone had a fantastic time on Friday (6-17-05). We're already taking about next year.  On another note, Myles (first mate) was telling us about his love for Cajun food and spices.  Being originally from Cajun Country, I'm a big fan as well.  the other night I pan fried my fresh Striper with a spice called "Slap Ya Mama".  It was incredible.  They have the spices for boils as well;  ever have Cajun Lobster?? Anyway, if you can forward this website to Myles, I know he'd appreciate the taste!

and for all others reading this page please click on the following web link and let us know your thoughts about this spice...       http://www.walkerandsons.com/products.html

Dan Bernstein (6-12-05) Just wanted to let you know what a great asset to have working on your boat.  College kid and so "gun ho".  I ask you that you extend to him our thanks for his assistance and good cheer. Mike, you couldn't have a better first mate.

Thanks again for all your hard work.  Only reel fishermen truly appreciate the homework that goes into successful catches.  Oh yes - school teachers too.

I've been on five trips over the last three seasons, not one has been a
disappointment. The fish are always plentiful, Captain Mike always finds the
"right spot" and the crew is knowledgeable and professional at all times.  I
would recommend booking a trip, you will not regret it...BOB O'ROURKE

Here is one you may want to put on your site.  We had a great time today – we will certainly be back – thanks -  Ted Duffy

Captain Mike and 1st Mate Billy,
Thanks for the awesome trip last Friday.  It is a credit to your skill and teaching that four rookies could catch 13 fish including 11 keepas!  We now know the difference between "swinging" and "jigging"! We weighed the filets that Billy expertly prepared.  35 pounds!  When my wife makes her famous fish chowda, I'll drop you off a quart or two.  I thought you would like a copy of the attached photo to post.  Is that a happy man or what?

Customer Comments:

Dear Mike and Bill,

Thank you both for the most wonderful day I ever had fishing. Seems about 20 years that we've fished with you guys and there hasn't been a single outing that we didn't catch fish. Pop says that he never counts but I'll bet we caught over 40 this last time out. It is so much appreciated what you both do for my father Capt. Jim. You make his greatest passion happen. Thank you so much.    With appreciation and such great memories.
