We
are a full-time, 7 day-a-week professional sport fishing
business totally equipped to meet the demands of novice and
expert fishermen alike. Unlike part-time charter boats, the
"Eastwind" must consistently produce fish for you,
since we depend on your repeat business.
Your Captain…
Captain Michael
Doak is fully licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard. With over
29 years experience on the waters of Cape Cod, he will make your
trip both safe and successful.
Captain Mike started
his maritime career as a commercial fisherman. His experience
includes working as an offshore lobsterman as well as
long-lining for swordfish. In recent years, Captain Mike has
worked as a tug boat Captain navigating the waters from New York
City, NY to Portland, Maine. Also transporting yachts from Cape
Cod to the Florida Keys. He has been a resident of Cape Cod
for over 20yrs. Since 1986 he has operated his charter fishing
business out of Falmouth Harbor.
When he's not
fishing, he is continually researching the latest fishing
methods and techniques. Fishing is his obsession and he knows
how to fill the fish box... Guaranteed!
With Captain Mikes'
passion for fishing, he takes a serious scientific approach to
catching fish...without taking the fun out of it!!!

The
"Eastwind"…
The Eastwind is a 35 foot Duffy
Sportfisherman, with a Caterpillar diesel engine, built by
Atlantic Boats of Brooklyn Maine. Atlantic Boats have built over
350 of these hulls, and they are working from Alaska to the
Caribbean. They have an outstanding reputation for safety and
comfort.
The Eastwind is fully equipped with all
approved Coast Guard Safety Equipment including a life raft and
EPIRB (Emergency Positioning Radio Beacon). She has “state of
the art” electronics including radar, loran, color depth
finder, hailer, chart plotters, marine radios and an “on board
computer”.
Our fishing gear is
“top of the line” with Shimano Reels, Star Rods, Power Pro Lines, and hand
made lures made exclusively for the Eastwind!
Light tackle,
spinning, trolling, or bottom fishing...we have it all !
